"Pont (Bridge) rue Colonel Lanoyerie" in Grenoble, by Mazarine

This street art work is located in Grenoble in France, in Colonel Lanoyerie street in front of Eagle school (La Salle Middle School).

The street artist represented some railway workers in 1900 with a red background. On the left there is a sign with a text and a date : « Retard des trains, Jamais, 15 avril 1900 » ( = late trains, never, April 15th 1900).

The artist didn’t sign the work so we don’t know who paint this.

Bonjour! J'adore cette œuvre d'art de rue et je la trouve très intéressante!

I am not aware of the context in which this art was created, but it certainly looks like its purpose is to commemorate or even protest an event that happened during the 1900s. I love how art can share so many different emotions and ideas, and it is a real shame the person behind it did not sign the work.

Merci pour le partage!!
